Naming the band Rudely Interrupted was Rory’s idea. Asperger Syndrome robbed Rory of his ability to feel empathy, so it's hard for him to relate to others and their needs. ‘I have trouble empathising with people. That’s a characteristic of Aspergers. I’m constantly interrupting people or feeling like other people are interrupting me or my routine. I interpret this as being rudely interrupted.’
