He's written on a range of issues that cover everything from disaster preparedness and response to climate change and world trade as well as HIV/AIDS and humanitarian crises.

Ian has two humanitarian awards. For his achievements in the Bali bomb response he was awarded the Australian Red Cross Service Medal; for covering the tsunami in Aceh Ian won the Australian Government's Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal.

Wolvo.net is more than a showcase of Ian Woolverton's work. The site contains links to articles written by other journalists and writers such as the BBC's Baghdad Correspondent Andrew North who also reported from tsunami-affected Aceh. Foreign News Editor, Yrsa Grüne from Finland is also featured as is Tim Colebatch, a Canberra based journalist for The Age and Sydney Morning Herald. Tim's more used to reporting on economics but here muses on Joan Lindsay's famous Australian novel, Picnic at Hanging Rock.

Visitors to the site are encouraged to leave feedback on the published photographs and stories. Suggestions on how to improve the gallery are also welcome and should be sent to Ian Woolverton at wolvo@hotmail.com.
